Water cremation, also known as aquamation and alkaline hydrolysis, is an accelerated method of natural decomposition without the burning of fossil fuels nor the emission of harmful greenhouse gasses. A warm salt water bath gently separates organic bonds over several hours, leaving only the mineral ash which is returned to the family similar to traditional flame cremation.

Alongside her supportive family, Dr. Megan has created a service that honors the life of each pet while minimizing the environmental impact. Unlike large traditional crematoriums that may process hundreds of pets each day, Green Heart focuses on a more intimate approach, respectfully handling only a small number of pets per day. This allows us to dedicate the time and care necessary to ensure that each pet and their family receive individualized attention.
